Consultative Examinations
Start Line Behavioral Health is contracted by the MA Rehabilitation Commission (MRC) to provide psychiatric Consultative Examinations as part of their disability determination process. These evaluations are scheduled directly by MRC Disability Determination Services. Individuals scheduled for a CE with a SLBH staff member will be contacted by via email prior to their appointment and provided with appointment information and a telehealth link. Any questions or concerns about this process should be directed to MRC/DDS staff.

If you are scheduled for a CE with Start Line Behavioral Health staff, please review the following information:

Telehealth platform:

You will be provided with the telehealth link prior to your appointment.

When you join the telehealth session, please have your camera and microphone turned on.

It is recommended that you arrive at least 10 minutes early to prepare and give yourself time to work out any technology issues that might come up.
Preparing for the appointment:

We will be discussing your personal health information so please find a comfortable, quiet, and private space for the appointment.

Please have a valid form of identification (license, ID card, passport, etc.) available to show at the beginning of the appointment. Anyone over 18 who is present during the appointment must have a valid ID on them.

Please have a pen/pencil and a piece of paper with you.

Please inform SLBH staff ahead of time if you plan to have someone with you for support or assistance during the appointment.

For privacy and safety reasons, you cannot be in a public place or in a moving vehicle at the time of the appointment.
